LVOT VTI (V₁) The LVOT velocity–time integral (VTI) is obtained using pulsed wave (PW) Doppler in the apical 5-chamber or apical long-axis (3-chamber) view to measure laminar flow across the LVOT. Sweep speed: 100 mm/s Wall filter: low Goal: smooth velocity curve with a well-defined peak The PW sample gate should be placed exactly where the LVOT diameter was measured in the parasternal long-axis view to ensure accurate correspondence between area and velocity.
