The National Hurricane Center is keeping an eye on two storms in the eastern Pacific Ocean: Tropical Storm Eugene and a disturbance known as 96E, and GOES-16 captured this geocolor imagery of them both earlier today, July 11, 2017. Tropical Storm Eugene is now approximately 530 miles south-southwest of Punta Eugenia, Mexico, and moving toward the northwest at about 10 miles per hour. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a slight risk for severe thunderstorms in the southern Plains and Lower Mississippi Valley today, February 14, 2017.
