Paolo Thaon di Revel, the first unit in a new class of Italian Navy multipurpose offshore patrol ships (abbreviated to PPA in Italian), was launched on Saturday, June 15. The 132.5-meter long ship will be crewed by 171 persons and achieve speeds of over 31 knots, according to Fincantieri.
