Closkelt Pipe Band from Northern Ireland, led by Pipe Major David Chesney, march in starting their Grade 1 bands medley final at the 2025 European Pipe Band Championships. These were held in the City of Perth, Scotland, on Saturday 9th August 2025 and the band started their set with the tunes Lucy Cassidy, Butterfingers, Mrs MacDonald of Uig. Hosted by Perth and Kinross Council, in conjunction with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA), this incredible spectacle involved over 100 pipe

Saturday 6th September 2025 is the famous Braemar Gathering in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. This wonderful event includes many Pipe Bands from across Scotland, who parade through the village and play at the Games. Each year one of the bands is judged to be the 'Best Band' and awarded a shield by the King. Back in 2023 this was presented to Gordonstoun Pipe Band, which includes many young pipers and drummers from Gordonstoun School. This is the band parading the Shield towards the end of the Games. #
