At 11am and 5pm each day, the Duckmaster at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis marches their ducks to and from the hotel fountain. This has been a custom since the ‘30s when the General Manager at the time, Frank Schutt, thought it would be amusing to leave his ducks in the fountain. Ducks were trained to go down the elevator to the fountain by 11am and go up again to the rooftop “the duck palace” by 5pm. People all over the world come see this march everyday!
