Elko, NV Current Weather - The Weather Network

Downburst winds and subsequent dust associated with the thunderstorm rolling through the Elko area around 300 pm. Expect similar surface conditions with showers and thunderstorms through this afternoon across mainly Elko county and White Pine county. Winds could reach 45 to 55 mph with locally higher gusts to near 60 mph. The air below the thunderstorm base is very dry contributing to the strong winds at the surface as the precipitation evaporates on its way down. This evaporating precipitation
