Apr 16, 2021 · I'm gonna be honest; I consider Daredevil the best Superhero adaptation in live-action period. I think it best captures the spirit of the Miller and Bendis comics back in the day in its characters, aesthetics, style, tone and themes. And it did some very unique interesting things.

A lot of the minor characters were pointless or annoying, each season had at least a few episodes worth of content that could have been cut to make the whole product a lot more streamlined, and the Hand/Elektra storylines were a total misfire.

Daredevil helped change the entire landscape of comics in 1978 when Frank Miller came on board. Comics were not that brooding back then. You might have had the occasional dark moments in Denny O'Neil's Batman or Chris Claremont's X-Men (which didn't really get dark until the Dark Phoenix Saga in 1980).
