A PS4 controller tbh when used with a hacked PS2 (not all games work with it though). I wish there was a hack to make OPL load when PS2 is turned on since you still need a regular PS2 controller to launch it. Sony PS2 controllers will always be the best.

Jul 28, 2021 · The original sony controller is the best. Most durable by far and I've gone through a lot of cheap PS2 controllers that break after a month. You're either going to have to deal with it and adapt, or you could try a converter, but a PS4 controller will be missing some features of the PS2 controller so I don't really recommend that.

Logitech Wireless Action Controller ($15-$30, depending on whether receiver is included) There are two models, a big one and a small one. If you're unable to find either in person go with the small one. Great on battery life, feel great in hands, best alternative to actual PS2 controllers.

Aug 2, 2021 · DualShock 2 is the best ps2 controller you can get in my opinion. All the wireless controllers I’ve seen have input lag or connectivity problems and are very expensive. There’s not really any wired ps2 controllers that are as good as the DualShock 2 that I know of. I say stick to a genuine DualShock if you can find one man :)

Just bought a 8bitdo ps1 and 2 wireless adapter, since the cheapo AliExpress wireless controller didn't work so well with the psone. And it paired seamless with a ps4 controller and is awesome. I can power on or reboot the ps2 slim and the controller will pair and be ready to go. Been playing sotn on opl and not noticing any input issues.

Jul 20, 2021 · It's a great controller, the best wireless controller for PS2. But it's not Bluetooth, it uses (2.4GHz) IR dongle to connect with console. That dongle can stop working due the problem with capacitor(s) inside it, and they need to be replaced (one or both).

The Offically Licensed Logitech PS2 Wireless Controller has a solid build and top tier wireless connection strength compared to all the cheaper brands. It's battery powered though but for old consoles like this, get a pack of rechargeable batteries with a charger and you'll be all set.

Mar 12, 2024 · Heya! My favourite controller that I've ever used is the PS5 Dualsense, with the PS4 Dualshock 4 just behind it. I like the way these controllers feel and handle, especially on the triggers. With that being said, I'm wondering if there's a third-party PS2 controller that offers that type of quality for a decent price.
