Apr 30, 2021 · Fox aired the episodes in the wrong order. The DVD/Blu-ray order is the one that Wheadon intended for the episodes to be aired. Fox is infamous for doing this to series - in fact, they did it for the 2013 series Almost Human also, which doomed that series just like it did Firefly.

Oct 31, 2014 · Hey so I'm watching Firefly for the first time and I remember reading somewhere that when they first aired the show the episodes weren't aired in the order that Joss Whedon intended. I'm now watching it on Netflix and I'm watching episode 11 "Heart of Gold", and the "previously" shows clips from an episode I haven't seen yet.

Jun 8, 2022 · In Jellyfin, the episodes showed up in aired order, even though the metadata was set to DVD. So, I changed the order to "Absolute", saved, and then back to DVD and saved. Now the episodes are appearing in DVD order, with "Serenity" being first. The problem is that when I click on media info for episode 1, it is still pointing to the Train Job file.

Aug 28, 2014 · There are a couple episodes that go up and down the more I rewatch. Having Tracy's service as a foil to Simon pointed out to me improved the message a lot. Heart of Gold, while amazing the first time through, is the least exciting to me on rewatches. The Saffron episodes remind me simply how fun Firefly can be, they probably climb every rewatch.

Apr 13, 2014 · I was just going through and watching Firefly and I realized some episodes weren't title correctly, descriptions were off, etc. Then I remembered that there are two different orders to Firefly because fox did not air them in the order they were intended (they didn't even air all of the episodes to my knowledge).
