Former UFC heavyweight champion and PFL fighter Francis Ngannou has reacted to comments made by UFC executive Dana White.

Rico Verhoeven, the Glory heavyweight champion, announced that he has resumed talks regarding a potential series of fights with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

Eric Nicksick, Ngannou's MMA coach, revealed last week that Ngannou is interested in a UFC comeback. "It's not about money anymore. It's about competition," Nicksick said.

Ngannou has not fought in MMA since pummeling Renan Ferreira in the inaugural PFL Super Fights event on October 2024. After departing from the UFC, Ngannou took two trips inside of the boxing ring.

Ngannou, 38, hasn't competed since last October, when he defeated Renan Ferreira by knockout in his PFL debut. There's no word when he could fight again.
