Trump has publicly criticized the Fed chair for months for keeping interest rates steady despite the president’s insistence that Powell lower them.

President Donald Trump said Jerome Powell should follow in the footsteps of Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler and resign from the central bank, ratcheting up his feud with the central bank chair.

Trump called the Fed chair "TOO ANGRY, TOO STUPID, & TOO POLITICAL" after the central bank left interest rates unchanged again.
