Last year, Morant played in 50 games for Memphis, averaging 30.4 minutes per game, posting 23.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 45.4% from the field and 30.9% from deep. However, Morant missed 32 games with injury due to his playstyle revolving around driving to the rim.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ty Jerome will not be available for the season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans. Jerome will be reevaluated in four weeks due to a high grade right calf strain, the team announced on Oct. 20.
