The frigid temperatures that greeted residents of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia to begin December will continue into the work week.

A blast of arctic air over the eastern U.S. will bring wintry weather to parts of Florida through the weekend into next week, forecasters said.

The National Weather Service issued an updated freeze warning at 1:49 p.m. on Friday valid for Saturday between midnight and 8 a.m. for Coffee, Dale, Henry, Geneva and Houston counties.
