John Dickerson, a veteran of CBS News and co-anchor of “CBS Evening News,” is leaving the network at the end of the year. Dickerson made the announcement in a social-media post Monday.

John Dickerson is leaving CBS News at the end of the year as Bari Weiss takes over as the new editor-in-chief. Dickerson has been with the network since 2009 and, in January of this year, began co-anchoring the CBS Evening News alongside Maurice DuBois.
