After months with no one in the post, Gov. Ron DeSantis has named state Sen. Blaise Ingoglia to be Florida's new Chief Financial Officer.

TALLAHASSEE — Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday elevated longtime ally Sen. Blaise Ingoglia to be the state’s chief financial officer, choosing him over a candidate backed by President Donald Trump. Florida’s CFO position has been vacant for more than half a year after Jimmy Patronis left the seat to run for Congress.

Gov. RON DESANTIS and state Sen. BLAISE INGOGLIA laid out their plans for how to tackle the lead-up to 2026 as Ingoglia prepares to be sworn in as the state’s new chief financial officer.
