D’Angelo Russell may never actually suit up for the Wizards. Russell technically landed in Washington as part of last week’s Anthony Davis trade, but general manager Will Dawkins made it clear the situation is fluid.

Speaking to Mark Medina of EssentiallySports, Wizards general manager Will Dawkins confirmed that newly acquired point guard Trae Young will remain on the shelf through the All-Star break, but stressed that the team isn’t shutting him down for the season.
Trae Young is now with the Washington Wizards and had his introduction press conference before the game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Overall, it was a good way for Young to be introduced to the media, as general manager Will Dawkins was also there.
