The U.K. is seeking collaboration for a new AI security research lab, designed to counter the growing threat of hostile states.

Britain has entered an “AI arms race” with Russia, a Cabinet minister is expected to warn today. Speaking before the Nato Cyber Defence Conference at Lancaster House this morning, Pat McFadden will declare that artificial intelligence is “revolutionising many parts of life – including national security”.

Pat McFadden said Britain and its Nato allies are combatting Russian attacks both publicly and ‘behind the scenes’.
