Stock market today: Dow jumps over 300 points to hit fresh record, lead stock rebound
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) rose nearly 350 points, or about 0.8%, to close at a record high of 43,077.70. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) gained nearly 0.3%, while the benchmark S&P 500 (^GSPC) was up around 0.

While selling was mostly concentrated in the semiconductor sector, stocks in other areas of the market continued to climb. As a result, the percentage of S&P 500 members whose shares hit fresh 20-day highs hit 37%, the highest reading in months, according to Renaissance Macro's Jeff deGraaf.
