Food stamps are being made available to additional households in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

SNAP provides residents who meet certain income requirements with varying amounts of monthly electronic benefits, which can be used to purchase select food items from thousands of grocery stores and other retailers. The benefits can be used in-store and on various grocery delivery platforms, like Instacart and DoorDash.

Changes are coming for Pennsylvanians who participate in or who may be eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. On Monday, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Secretary Dr. Val Arkoosh announced increases to SNAP income and benefit limits.
