The Israeli Security Cabinet will convene Tuesday to discuss a possible cease-fire agreement with Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon, Ambassador Danny Danon said.

The deal would lead to a 60-day transition period in which Israeli forces would withdraw from southern Lebanon while Lebanon's army would move into the area.

Diplomats and other officials say there have been several sticking points in ceasefire talks in the war between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, even as conditions for an agreement appear to be ripe.
