When Medal of Honor turned Call of Duty creator Vince Zampella took the stage at the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal event in sunny Los Angeles, 25 years removed from his first FPS credit, you got the sense he was just a little bit excited about his next endeavour in the genre. “Battlefield f***ing 6!” the now leader of the EA franchise yelled.

The release date was also confirmed for October 10, and that says quite a lot about EA’s faith in the latest entry in the Battlefield franchise. With Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launching in November, Battlefield 6 is shaping up to be quite the title if the team is confident enough to go nearly head-to-head with CoD.

Ahead of the official open beta launch next week, publisher EA shares the full PC system requirements for the highly anticipated Battlefield 6.

Additionally, EA announced two open beta weekends for Battlefield 6, which will take place from August 9 to 10 and August 14 to 17, 2025. Players can gain access to the first beta weekend up to two days early by winning raffles held by content creators.
