The recovery of bodies from a tragic house fire in downtown Carrollton ended Saturday afternoon when the last of the four victims was recovered from the burned out and collapsed

A fourth body has now been recovered after a massive fire engulfed a home in northern Kentucky.Officials say a 911 call was made around 6 a.m. Thursday for a report of a structure fire in the 200 block of 5th Street in Carrollton.

CARROLLTON, Ky. (WAVE) – Officials says the body of a third victim has been found in the remains of a home that caught fire early yesterday and the search for a fourth person believed to be inside is continuing.

Recovery efforts are still underway Friday and first responders have so far recovered two victims, police said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Authorities have recovered a fourth body from a fatal house fire in Carroll County. The massive fire was reported Thursday around 6 a.m. in the 200 block of 5th Street in downtown Carrollton, an hour north of Louisville. Fire crews found the two-story home engulfed in flames.

"When we arrived, the house was fully engulfed," Roberts said. Roberts said a 3-year-old girl was rescued from the rear of the house and airlifted to a hospital in Louisville for treatment after initially being taken to an area hospital.
