That moment arrived Thursday while Scottie Scheffler played his second shot on the 17th hole at the 2025 British Open at Royal Portrush. Scheffler, sitting to the right of the fairway and 111 yards out, hit a beautiful iron shot that landed three feet from the pin.
Jacob Skov Olesen began Friday’s second round in his least favorite wind, and he promptly hit two tee balls out of bounds at Portrush’s par-4 first hole.
Former World No.1 had a little guidance in the 1996 Open Championship at Royal Lytham and St. Annes, all the way to the final green.
