North DeKalb Issues ‘Cautionary’ Boil Water Advisory
DEKALB COUNTY, GA — Thousands of families in North DeKalb County woke up Wednesday morning under a boil water advisory amid continuing repair work on a water main break, more than 24 hours after it was first discovered. DeKalb County Watershed Management says the break was caused by the age of the pipe, which was installed in 1941.

UPDATE]: Repairs to the broken water main in DeKalb County were completed Thursday afternoon, Commissioner Ted Terry confirmed. The pipe on Clairmont Road burst Tuesday, causing the road between Bragg Street and Dresden Drive to close and several businesses to shutter their doors.
