The Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place in wildfire-ravaged Los Angeles, will not be canceled or postponed — but it will instead refocus the show on fire relief efforts.

The 67th annual Grammy Awards will still take place Sunday, Feb. 2, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles — though the Recording Academy has refocused its aim to support relief efforts following the devastating Los Angeles-area wildfires.

On Monday, it was announced that both the Grammys and Oscars would proceed as planned on February 2 and March 2, respectively, answering a question that has been debated behind the scenes by decision makers tasked with figuring out how to proceed with award season as Los Angeles grapples with devastating wildfires.

The 67th Grammy Awards will take place as scheduled Feb. 2, the Recording Academy says. The ceremony will honor first responders and raise money for fire relief.

The show will be broadcast live on Feb. 2 from the Crypto.com Arena, where Beyoncé is the leading contender with 10 nominations.

Harvey Mason Jr. told Recording Academy members that this year's event "will carry a renewed sense of purpose" to help fundraise for the deadly wildfires that have devastated Los Angeles since last we
