The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider brings all of the theatre that you’d expect from an Italian V12-powered supercar. It’s easy enough to drive at slow speeds but unlocks a huge level of performance as and when you need it. It’s refined with the roof in place, too and isn’t too blowy when it’s down, either.

Today, the 2025 12Cilindri Spider harks back to Ferrari's grand-touring roots and its front-engine, V-12 soul. The 12Cilindri Spider is a first-quarter opening salvo in what's shaping up to be a pivotal year in the brand's storied history.

The 12Cilindri is the latest in a long line of V12 Ferraris that stretches right back to the company’s first ever car. This effectively replaces the 812 Superfast and Competizione models, filling Ferrari’s usual V12 do-everything supercar slot.

It’s angular yet curvy; retro yet ultra modern. The black front visor between the headlights might seem like a clear link to another iconic 12-cylinder Ferrari - the 365 GTB/4 Daytona, but Ferrari’s designers tell us that this is more of a happy coincidence than a deliberate decision.

Ferrari chops the top off its V-12 grand tourer with the 12Cilindri Spider. The 12Cilindri Spider is a perfect choice for a coastal drive. The naturally aspirated V-12 makes 819 horsepower, plenty sufficient to blur the scenery. The top can be raised or lowered on the move at speeds up to 28 mph.

The £366,500, two-seater, Ferrari accelerates from rest to 62mph in just 2.95 seconds and to 124mph in 8.2 seconds, before topping out somewhere beyond 211mph.

Only one automaker still builds a non-hybridized, naturally aspirated V-12. It's Ferrari—because of course it is.
