Previously, the best level to find diamonds was at Y level 12, but that has changed now. The best level to mine for diamonds in Minecraft 1.18 is Y level -58.

This means that the best locations gamers can expect to find diamond ore in regular Minecraft 1.18 worlds are at Y=-63 and levels slightly above it.
