Arizona’s Andrew Cain hit a leadoff home run to make the game 1-1 and send it into extra innings. The Wildcats tacked on one more run in the tenth inning and beat TCU to win their second consecutive conference title. Last year’s title was when the Wildcats were in the Pac-12.

TCU struck first during the Big 12 Championship Game on Saturday evening, but the Horned Frogs were unable to close out the Arizona Wildcats, who rallied for two runs over the final two innings to hand TCU a 2-1 loss and win the Big 12 tournament.

The Horned Frogs had an opportunity to tie or take the lead in the bottom of the 10th inning as Anthony Silva eventually reached second after being hit by a pitch. But Sam Myers struck out for the final out as the Wildcats won the tournament in their first season in the Big 12.
