EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Under chilly temperatures and snowy conditions throughout the game, Michigan State lost to Rutgers, 41-14, on Senior Day at Spartan Stadium on Saturday. The temperature at kickoff was 26 degrees, but fell during the game to the low-20s, and wind chills were in the teens throughout the game.

In a must-win game to reach a bowl game, the Spartans were blown out by Rutgers at Spartan Stadium. Michigan State jumped out to a 7-0 lead early but again were dominated after the first quarter, with the Scarlet Knights outscoring Michigan State 41-7 from that point in route to a 41-14 loss.
