Dolphins Wire on MSNDolphins among CBS' top landing spots for Pro Bowl CB Jaire AlexanderOn Monday, the Green Bay Packers released cornerback Jaire Alexander. The two-time Pro Bowler heads to free agency after a seven-year run with the Packers. With a likely trade of their own Pro Bowl cornerback Jalen Ramsey looming,
The Packers have made the interesting decision to absorb all of Jaire Alexander's cap in the current league year.
There are many reasons why the Philadelphia Eagles continue to be tied to free-agent cornerback Jaire Alexander. After winning Super Bowl LIX, the organization parted ways with two key starters in the secondary, including cornerback Darius Slay and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
Other established cornerbacks still unsigned include James Bradberry, Stephon Gilmore, Mike Hilton and C.J Henderson. The Dolphins have been linked to Hilton, the former Bengals slot corner, at different times this offseason, and he cannot be ruled out.
PFF listed six potential teams that Alexander could draw interest from, but the Chargers aren't listed. Trevor Sikkema named the Baltimore Ravens, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers and the rival Las Vegas Raiders as potential destinations for the former Pro Bowler.
