Nikola Jokić is going strong with the Denver Nuggets and is well on his way to being a Hall of Famer, but he apparently considered retiring a few years ago.

An anonymous Denver front office executive told Keith Smith of Spotrac that the club's newly reconstituted brain trust, led by executive vice president of basketball operations Ben Tenzer and executive vice president of player personnel Jon Wallace, had full confidence in its ability to retain the 2023 Finals MVP.

Former NBA All-Star Demarcus Cousins, who played in Denver with Jokic during the 2021-22 season, appeared on the Straight Game Podcast where he discussed Jokic and his nonchalant demeanor when it comes to basketball. Cousins appeared in 31 games for the Nuggets that season, averaging 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
