Miami-bound Carson Beck entered the portal at the top of the list ahead of John Mateer, who is headed to the SEC to play at Oklahoma.

Carson Beck didn’t take long to pick a new school. The former Georgia QB announced Friday he's heading to Miami for the 2025 season and his final year of eligibility. Beck had previously declared for the NFL Draft but entered the transfer portal Thursday as he decided to stay in college for another season.

Beck was blindsided by a Texas pass rusher and suffered a right elbow injury that ended his season. Backup quarterback Gunnar Stockton led the Bulldogs to a 22-19 win in overtime to claim the SEC title. Stockton then started the following game in the Sugar Bowl against Notre Dame, but Georgia lost 23-10.
