McManus had been out of a job since two women sued him and the Jaguars in civil court alleging he sexually assaulted them when they were working as flight attendants. The lawsuit has been resolved.

The Packers worked out veteran kicker Brandon McManus Tuesday and signed him for the rest of the season. Narveson was released after missing the most field goals in the league this season — five. McManus has made at least 80% of his field goals in seven of his 10 seasons and has led kickers in points twice.

After what he called a "difficult time these last couple of months," Brandon McManus said Wednesday he is grateful to the Packers for giving him the opportunity to resume his kicking career in the NFL.
