Kevin Durant would have placed the Knicks among his top preferred destinations, but the team didn’t want to trade for him, according to a report from veteran NBA reporter Marc Stein. "New York made it clear that it’s decided against pursuing a trade for” him, Stein reported.

The New York Knicks are passing on pursuing Kevin Durant this offseason. Craig Carton, Danny Parkins, and Mark Schlereth ask if this is a mistake by New York, and if the Minnesota Timberwolves are a better destination.

Durant considered the New York Knicks a possible destination. However, the Knicks decided not to pursue a trade for him.
