It’s been weeks since Philadelphia 76ers rookie Jared McCain came off the bench for the team. When he collected his first NBA start on November 13, McCain ended up staying in the starting five for the next six games.

Heading into the matchup, the Sixers are still struggling to find their team rhythm and have yet to win a cup game. With Joel Embiid and Paul George once again missing from Philly's lineup, it's quite concerning not having their two stars around.

On Wednesday, McCain shot just 6-for-19 and 0-for-7 from deep. The rookie guard did a good job of making some adjustments and getting to the basket a bit, but he rushed a lot of his looks from deep and coach Nick Nurse just wants him to understand that there's more of this to come.

The Sixers got off to a strong start before the Nets battled back and took a lead in the third quarter, but instead of withering, they battled and back and earned a much-needed 113-98 win. Jared McCain had 30 points and six rebounds in a big effort for Philadelphia.
