JAKARTA, Indonesia — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced his Cabinet late Sunday, hours after he was inaugurated. The lineup of 109 ministers, vice ministers and head of national agencies was the largest in the country’s history, and he named it the “Red and White Cabinet,” referring to the colors of Indonesia’s national flag.

In succeeding Joko Widodo to the presidency, Prabowo is expected to take a more hands-on and personal approach to major policy areas.

Former general Prabowo Subianto was sworn in Sunday as president of Indonesia, seeking a more prominent position on the global stage for the world's fourth most populous nation. The 73-year-old fiery nationalist — accused of rights abuses during his time in the military — took the oath at parliament to officially succeed outgoing leader Joko Widodo.
