Tropical Storm Fernand is expected to continue on a north-northeasterly path over the central Atlantic Ocean Monday and Tuesday and pose no threat to land, the National Hurricane Center said early Monday.

Tropical Storm Fernand, which formed Saturday afternoon in the Atlantic, is continuing to move over the open ocean, with no indication it will make landfall.

Hurricane Erin has pushed into the north Atlantic and dissipated, but now we have a new tropical storm to watch.
