Dangerous coastal impacts from Hurricane Erin will peak along the East Coast on Wednesday and Thursday as the storm passes offshore.

(Reuters) -Hurricane Erin, churning north in the Atlantic hundreds of miles offshore, is expected to trigger a dangerous storm surge and tropical storm conditions on Wednesday along North Carolina’s Outer Banks and other stretches of the U.

Large and dangerous waves are hitting the shores of the Southeast on Wednesday as Hurricane Erin surges up the coastline staying offshore. FOX Weather Meteorologist Bob Van Dillen has the latest information from the National Hurricane Center.
