An already damaging and disruptive tropical wind and rainstorm will continue to rage along a large portion of the United States Atlantic Coast with high winds, flooding rain and major coastal flooding.

A coastal storm created choppy waves and led to plenty of downed trees in New Haven County. Folks in West Haven planned to keep an eye on high tide Monday night. “It’s all about strong winds, high tides, and flooding. All three make managing a storm difficult,” said West Haven Emergency Management Director Rick Fontana.
Forecasters say the powerful storm, potentially historic in strength, is expected to slam into the Y-K Delta early Sunday and then race up the coastline, bringing destructive winds and surging seas.

Severe thunderstorm and flash flooding warnings were issued by the National Weather Service in Tucson on Monday, Oct. 13.
That's according to the National Weather Service, which has issued weather warnings or watches along most of Alaska's west and northwest coast, from the Kuskokwim Delta all the way north to Utqiagvik.
