USC Upstate won’t release police report on official’s arrest. Press attorney says that violates law.
USC Upstate broke SC’s FOIA law by refusing to provide the police report from the March 5 arrest of Spartanburg County councilman Monier Abusaft.
Longtime press attorney Jay Bender said USC Upstate’s redactions of the incident report were an attempt to keep information from the public.
FOX Carolina spoke with the councilman following his bond hearing.
