This software-controlled RTD emulator produces voltages that cover the output range of the sensor. It supports all three RTD wiring configurations and associated sense-wire configurations.

This is easily avoided by using a three-wire RTD, which enables the connected data logger to compensate for the resistance of the circuit.

To account for this, you will see that RTD probes are sold in two, three, and four wire configurations.
