The 37-year-old Wilson has played 14 NFL seasons. He spent a decade with the Seattle Seahawks, two more the Denver Broncos and one with the Pittsburgh Steelers before signing a one-year, $10.5 million contract with the New York Giants last March.
Russell Wilson is putting his playing career on hold. The veteran quarterback will join CBS Sports for their Sunday pregame show for the upcoming NFL season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Wilson, per NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, had an offer to be a backup quarterback, but chose to go into TV instead. The longtime QB is not officially retiring.
