The winner was announced and it was Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. He edged out Jackson in voting, earning 383 points to Jackson’s 362 as Allen won 27 of the 50 first-place votes in addition to 22 second-place votes and one third-place nod, while Jackson had 23 first-place votes, 26 second-place votes and one fourth-place vote.

After a battle that was seemingly always between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback was named the 2024 NFL Most Valuable Player, winning the award for the first time in his seven-year career.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson received 12 first-place votes and teammate Derrick Henry got one. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Bills QB Josh Allen also received one first-place vote each.
