NEW-HAVEN, Jan. 11.--The frost-bitten crew of the bark Mohawk, in the hospital in this city, are in a bad way. Yesterday two of the men suffered the amputation of some of their fingers.

Mohawk cut 20 per cent of administrative jobs in December and suspended over a dozen programs. Faculty layoffs are also expected but the college has not said when those would take place.
