Microsoft has addressed a recent issue where its Edge browser was found to automatically import browsing data and tabs from Chrome without user consent.
Doing this will use Edge's automatic import browser data feature to transfer your bookmarks and other profile data of your choosing to your Microsoft Edge browser.
Microsoft's release notes from February 15 say: Edge has a feature that provides an option to import browser data on each launch from other browsers with user consent.

Previously, Edge had a feature where users could opt to turn off the "import browser data on each launch" option in its Settings, with users able to control what to import and when to do it.
