Although bands fronted by Grateful Dead members including the Jerry Garcia Band, RatDog (Weir's band) and Phil Lesh and Friends, did perform in Worcester after the 1988 incident, the Grateful Dead got the hint, performing at the Boston Garden and Sullivan Stadium in Foxborough in 1989, and avoiding Worcester at all costs for many years.
