Brooks and Yearwood performed the same song just over a year prior at the funeral for Carter’s wife, former first lady Rosalynn Carter.

The pair paid tribute to former President Carter at his state funeral on Thursday, performing John Lennon's "Imagine."

Brooks played his acoustic guitar and wore a black suit as he harmonized with his wife, who was also dressed in black for the somber occasion. The pair previously sang the same song at Carter’s wife Rosalynn Carter’s funeral in November 2023.
