SpaceX successfully launched its Starship Flight 11 rocket into space, with its Super Heavy booster making a planned - and controlled - splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico.

SpaceX teased the next-generation vehicle that could reach the moon and Mars during its live webcast of a Starship mission known as flight 11.

The rocket being prepared for Monday's flight is the last of the so-called version 2 Starships.
