Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL) has announced plans to introduce commercial quantum computing applications within the next five years, a timeline that challenges Nvidia's (NASDAQ: NVDA) 20-year prediction.

The computer came with no operating system, but it didn’t really have enough RAM for one. The software to control the IMPs was written on bare metal using the 516’s assembly language.
