Like its predecessors over the tropical Atlantic this hurricane season, Lorenzo – which formed early Monday over the central Atlantic – continues to struggle as a tropical storm, with its winds and weather separated from its flailing center.
Post-Tropical Cyclone Jerry was causing rough seas far from land early Oct. 12 as National Hurricane Center forecasters shifted their focus to Invest 97L out in the Atlantic, and the nor'easter heading away from Florida toward many coastal states to the north.

Our Monday begins on a cool and crisp note across Central Florida with many areas seeing temperatures in the low 60s. Some people might want to grab a light jacket or sweater for this morning, but be sure to wear something lighter underneath.
If you’re heading to the beaches – there’s still a good chance of rip currents out there due to some lingering swell in the Atlantic. Also, keep an eye out for minor coastal flooding this afternoon along the east coast because of those King Tides.

Nor'easter update: Storm hits South Jersey shore towns, Atlantic City Rail Line suspended
A powerful nor’easter began pushing its way through the Philadelphia metro area on Sunday, keeping streets wet, winds strong and waters elevated along the shores and tidal rivers.
Floodwaters have risen in Atlantic City, prompting local officials to keep emergency shelters open and warn residents that more flooding is expected as the nor’easter continues to impact the Jersey Shore.
